Every year I support my fellow authors and dive into the holidays early in the fall by getting their new Chirstmas books.
I love getting new Christmas stories to dig into!!
I often buy older books that have been out for awhile too. In my opinion you can never have too many Christmas stories to lose yourself in, especially during the elections here in the USA--it's very stressful.
Here are TWO of the many I will buy this year.
The first is THE CHRISTMAS INN by Pamela Kelley, an author who I simply adore as a person and as a writer. I first discovered her years ago when I bought one of her Christmas novels.
You can find out more about Pamela HERE
The next one I just got today, October 8th, is
CHRISTMAS IN ASPEN by Anita Hughes, whom I also adore in every way possible. We have been connected on social media for years, and I love her stories so much.
You can find out more about Anita HERE
I can't wait to dig into both of these novels!!
Here is a tiny look at just some of the many Christmas books that I have currently at home.
I have about six bookshelves around the flat, and this is one of the cubbies in the home office that I share with my hubby. Have you read any of these?
I buy my Christmas books in different places.
I love BARNES & NOBLE and will be devastated if it ever leaves us like Borders did, which left a huge hole in my heart. I shop at B&N online and in person. It's magical during the holidays, so if you have one near you, please go in and get some holiday cheer, a cuppa cocoa, and new books!
I also order from AMAZON and AUDIBLE. I know I'm supposed to hate them but I don't. I love listening to audiobooks while I work out, while I do artwork, and just to chillax. They are also great for when you are traveling.
My favorite local independent stores in Los Angeles are:
VROMAN'S in Pasadena
&
BOOK SOUP in West Hollywood
And never forget the fabulous shops in airports all over the world. I never travel without buying a new book at the airport.
Until next time!! Happy Christmas reading!!
XO
Steph
Currently (as of Oct 8th) I don't have my Christmas insta up yet but you can follow me on my other Instagram @stephobourbon which is mostly about writing but a lot of my posts have to do with Christmas too.
